I would like to get cards at last years prices as well.
Unless they can demonstrate that USPS accepted the package and lost it, they are going to be SOL and it falls on them. Additionally, and most important, they have a department dedicated to upcharging submissions due to the increase in value attained over time or due to the final grade or both. They owe you what the cards are worth today in the graded holders they are in. Anything less than that is BS. The grading fees are not recoverable if they pay you true FMV for the lost cards. Not SMR value but true market value like their upcharge department does.

They even have an ad bragging about the difference between raw card values and graded card values. "TURN YOUR CARDS INTO GOLD" I believe was the tagline. More needs to be done than what they are offering.

I agree they should be paying out what they are worth no in the graded holder. They obviously know the grade and the cards.
What is just as bad that all of these cards maybe lost forever and cannot be replaced

I know emotionally you guys are right about what PSA should do, but I would check what you actually sign off on when you submit. I would be shocked to find out that their response isn't exactly what is prescribed by the submission contract. If you agree to it, it doesn't really matter what feels right.

I understand what you are saying Scott. In this day of social media and their good name though, they need tp do the right thing. If they value me as a customer they need to do the right thing. We will see.

Like I said, I feel for you. There's a difference between legal and "right" I just wouldn't count on them going the extra step to make things right. I hope I'm wrong.

I know how you feel, but unfortunately, do you really think PSA is going to care about whatever is said about them on social media? I know it isn't to you or anyone else involved, and it should be bigger, but IMO this is likely a minor issue to PSA especially compared to the PWCC/trimmed issues and how did that really impact them.

I think there is a gray area for any upcharged card. PSA in effect disregarded the declared value and substituted its own value determination, so limiting you to a declared value that PSA itself refused to honor doesn't seem equitable. As for the rest of the cards, well, the contract terms would dictate the outcome most likely.
