Collecting can still be fun but you need to decide what's best for you. One suggestion, take your time and sleep on it for a while (weeks or a few months). Many times the answer becomes clear after mulling it over for a while.

If the cards mean more than the registry to you as a collector, If it were me, based on what I did years ago when I got spooked, I might think about moving some of the more expensive pieces and going instead for a nice midgrade that you've vetted thoroughly. And I'm definitely not going to move quickly. No sense in making a big decision based on one terrible event.
