A few months ago, I posted about 4 1909 Colgan’s Chips square proof cards that I came across in a personal collection of someone not connected to the hobby.
These cards are fairly rare I feel as the major grading companies have all graded so few of these. I finally sent them off to SGC (along with an 1896 Spalding H-818) and they just came back today. All in all, I’m happy with the grades. SGC said the Wagner showed evidence of trimming. It is slightly off center, but since no one really knows anything about them with any certainty, I’m not so sure that I agree with their conclusion. Anyway, presented here for your enjoyment… |
