I had someone offer these cards to me in trade. I they live several hours away so I cannot see them in hand. Any of these look off to anyone? I am working on getting pictures of the backs.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The other party told me he would ship first. If I do get them in hand, what are some of the dead give aways of fakes/reprints? He also said the the E120 has a movie ticket on the back. Couldn't find anything about that anywhere. I'm also guessing the cut corners are not anything variation, but someone that had no clue. Thanks David |

I would recommend pulling up legit copies of these cards and do a comparison of every nook and cranny.

A simple if not definitive test when you have them in person is to sniff them. If they smell old and musty that's a good sign.

The T206 Schmidt looks real to me, but I want to see the back to be certain.

As Peter said, those aren't cards that would normally be faked. Not the issues, but the players.

Thanks guys. That is what I figured. If anything was a reprint I figured the 206. Anyone with the information of the "movie ticket" back?

we would need to see the e120 back to figure out what it is...is a movie ticket stuck to the back? or is the advertisment on the back for a movie...which could be interesting?

Well, it could have either been printed as a Globe Theater type back, or someone at the time could have glued their actual movie ticket stub to the back of the card. I have a nice 1969 Topps Luis Tiant with a 1969 Tiant sticker affixed to it. ;-)
Collectors do weird things.

As previously mentioned, don't think those particular cards would be faked and nothing looks bad to me so I would go with authentic on all.

So do you think that was due to the card being glued to a ticket back or a different printing stock that the card fronts were printed on? As in, could the card be taken apart to the regular back? Although with the nice story, they're probably as valuable or more valuable than a similarly conditioned regular card.
