We can go back in time a bit further. Here's some earlier Topps nostalgia. From 1951, 1952, and 1953.

My wayback machine does not go nearly as far back as David's.

Some Topps store displays from the early days of Topps attempt to enter the world of baseball cards. The first photo is the 1952 Topps display and the second is the 1953 Topps wax boxes on a store shelf. Got any nickels? These have been posted before, but they are iconic.

I’ve have seen the 52 store display before, but it never gets old. And for whatever reason, I just noticed the mannequin hand holding the single wax pack.
