If you are patient you can find good deals. Just look a whole lot
1 bought this one 6 mos ago for 2139 delivered, off of the bay. The seller had it for a few hundred more, if I recall, and I negotiated down....There are no creases but are a few small spider wrinkles on the front, which is the reason for the grade. And there is a chance it has been soaked. Not sure.

That card is a beauty and really presents well. That’s a great eBay find and great deal with eye appeal. With taxes and all wrapped up at that price that’s a card definitely worth buying. I have certainly learned buy the card not the grade. Congrats on this one.

I would echo being patient and buying the right Cobb rather than the first Cobb. I only paid $1,600 for this beauty a few years ago:

No need to wait for an auction if you find one reasonably priced here or on Ebay. They come up often enough. I agree with others that a decent 2, or maybe an SGC 2.5 should be in your range.

Thanks guys. My advice is to get the Cobb you want when you can get it. But don’t buy any old Cobb you can afford.
