Great score! The white borders on all of them are so sparkly, like they've never had any exposure to light or humidity. And the corners - say what!

Oh my God, Sean! /drool
![]() I have a few of those in my Packer PC. I love the old Philadelphia football cards. After I run over to the pharmacy, I'm going to have to look at these on my desktop PC. A 22" monitor > my laptop. What I've seen already is really impressive! Are these going to be sold individually?

I almost want to drag some people from Topps over to this thread, and say "see?"
The cards back in the 50s, 60s and 70s had personality, and a lot of color. Nothing that Topps is producing now can even touch these old cards.

Bill, the same goes for movies and books and music.
Humanity peaked a ways back. We could probably have cured cancer and world hunger by now, among many other things, if we didn't spend time reading TMZ and arguing over just about everything. Heck, even fans of the same sport fight and hospitalize each other just because they root for opposing teams. Even here, look how often grown men who share a passion for the same hobby wind up bickering like petty, catty, envious schoolgirls with one another. So in this light it's no wonder that today's cards lack the character of ages past. Last edited by MattyC; 05-14-2014 at 08:17 PM. |
