That is really cool. I will be listening to the entire game today at work. It should make my day worth while.

This is awesome. I thought it was cool hearing some of the names, especially Mickey Vernon playing in his first of four decades. You would also think the family of Dick Bass would love to hear it, Walter Johnson calling their relative's only major league game.

Bryan--This is so cool. While he ain't Vin Scully, it's a delight to listen to one of my favorite players of all time. Thanks for sharing this link.
Cheers, Mike

So is it crazy that I just listened to the entire game here at work. It really is so peaceful.

Not crazy at all. I listened to it also and it was an absolute pleasure. Note that aside from it being Dick Bass' only major league outing it was also one of the five ML games that Elmer Gedeon played. He was later killed in WW2.

Does anyone know of an earlier regular-season game broadcast that survives? There are some world series games, but I think this might be the earliest from during the season. And if so, I wonder what's the next earliest? This one is from Sept. 21, 1939.
