I've posted this before, but it's always worth seeing again for a laugh. This 'autographed' Dimag biography was given to my Dad, who (a long time ago) gave it to me. In looking at it again for the first time in many years, I realized there was no way in heck that Joltin' Joe signed it. Plus, I believe it came out in 2000, the year AFTER he died. And why would someone forging a signature include a mention of Jackie Gleason and Art Carney in the inscription?? Huh?? Wish I had some sort of time machine that would allow me to see who actually signed this tome and why...
dimaggio.jpg And here is a sign adorning the building out here that now occupies the site of (next door to?) Joe D's birthplace... dimaggiobirthplace.jpg
