750 sounds pretty high to me in an authentic holder. 200-300 would be my guess. There is too much paper loss on the front for much more than that.

Default Money schmoney

Ok, how much for this authentic Ruth? It is obviously missing huge chunks and is actually in two pieces, but in my opinion it displays a lot nicer than the one posted. We all had a nice laugh when I have posted this in the past...it is not all about the money.

As a side question, I wonder how much someone would pay for my Diamond Stars Hornsby with the blank front?

Yea I agree that is much nicer because you can actually see the Babes face & body. I think the only way someone would buy that Hornsby would be to use it for some kind of shady purpose.

When I previously posted the Ruth, someone commented that they never knew the Babe had such an hourglass figure.

And scammers take note...the Hornsby is not for sale! The only shady purpose I intend for it involves using it as a coaster while resting in a hammock.

That's a little harsh. If there is enough of the card left to grade I would send it in. I'm sure it's worth more graded as raw there is more of a question of authenticity.

Please. If you put garbage in a holder, it doesn't "show nicer" and it isn't "worth more".

Depends on the holder.

I am really confused. You know this card is authentic, and you know what the card is worth. What would you like an opinion on?

all cards presented are nicer and more valuable than that of the op. just because the op purchased a likely authentic beat to piss goudey ruth years ago for likely a song...the op shouldn't take it as an insult...unless he purposely made the card this way...that this card is not very valuable.

it is what it is.

The guy who owns the $25 card in question here, and the guy that bought the $650 Ruth card with back damage on Ebay (2 threads above).........should get together and put BOTH cards in a holder back to back. Nice front, nice back. Problem solved! You're welcome....

Default No way $750

Sorry but all Authentic grades are not valued the same. I honestly think you could get $300-$400 for the card in a
pSA or SGC authentic holder but it would not be an easy sell.

Seriously, that's actually a really good observation. If I had the $650 Ruth, I would pay a premium (not $750, but something more than $25, $100?? maybe), just to get the clean back. That would be a cool display seeing front and back together side-by-side. In this case the whole (or two halves) would be greater than the sum of the parts.

Agreed. Would make a good display piece in a frame or something. That is the ONLY way I would be interested in that card.
