I see stuff like $2,400+ for a 1986 Topps Ryne Sandberg ... and it makes me wonder what is wrong with this hobby.
You're telling me that a card that can be bought in NM (or better) condition every single day on Ebay for $1 (plus what whatever for shipping) is worth and additional $2,400 because it is entombed in a plastic case saying it is a 10? Seriously? I get the four corners look better under a microscope, but you think you should pay a premium for that? You can't think of anything better to spend $2,400 on? Everyday I wonder how I can be involved in a hobby where people are willing to spend their money like that. Patrick |
