The grading of Good or better looks to be correct for the card listed.

Thanks. I should have checked the website. I agree the grade is right. I was just surprised that 6 corresponded to "good or better," but that's what the website says.

Imagine how the thrill turns sour when the collector learns that "vg or better" means "vg at best" and that BCCG is worthless plastic when he shows his new treasure to someone with experience.

Yes it is strange that a grade of "Good or Better" equates to a 6, but apparently that is their grading scale. I have never purchased anything in a BCCG holder, so at first glance, it does appear to be out of place. Speaking of grading, I just found out that a GAI 2 equates to an SGC "A" due to trimming, as I was just the recipient of that on a T205 Ty Cobb.

Maybe they just forgot to put the period before the 6

as in .6

I figure if you stick to SGC, PSA or Beckett (the real stuff) you will probably be ok.

They may want to change this line on their site from:

"Furthermore, BCCG-graded cards are perfect for beginning or veteran collectors."

to:

Furthermore, BCCG-graded cards are perfect for beginning, GAI or visually impaired collectors.

If it was better than a 6, they would have called it a 7.

That's what happens when you let entry-level staffers submit ideas to the Executives. Sometimes ridiculous ideas get through.

Their new customers will eventually feel cheated and go elsewhere.
