Default Old Judge Cabinets in REA

Looking at the N173 realizations in REA it appears that these cards are getting increased interest. Given their relative rarity and generally better image quality than N172s I still think they are undervalued versus their more diminutive brothers. Was anyone on the board luck enough to win any of these?

I was thinking the same thing, Jay. It's nice to see some higher prices for 19th century cards. $50K plus for the trimmed Delahanty is impressive and the prices for the Kelly and O'Rourke weren't too shabby either. This is the first thread related to 19th century to be started in a long time.

I was somewhat surprised by the Delahanty too. However, his cabinets are amongst the scarcest of all N173s and he is arguably the greatest 19th century player.

That makes me throw up a bit in my mouth.

That Big Ed used to be mine but I sold it during the pandemic…to help fund a pool build. I never would have expected that sort of price given the hack job on the bottom. Don’t get me wrong, I still made out quite well, but nothing even remotely close to the hammer!!

Congrats to whoever won the George Gore N173, it’s a beautiful cabinet!
I took it to $2.5k but was outbid 20 minutes later and ended up the underbidder. I still managed to pick up a Newsboy cabinet so it wasn’t a total loss.

And certainly, in contrast to his statistics, the least common in N172 and N173.
