Happy Thanksgiving All!
Looking for a bit of feedback as I am no expert. I bought this from eBay from someone who had four of them. I read somewhere you could X-ray it to see if a card was in there. I did that but it looks to small to be a card - if the X-ray idea even works. Is this a legit pack that could hold a t206? The seller said I could return no problem if I wanted. I paid $750. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It is extremely unlikely this would have a card inside. The tax stamp is incorrect to be from the 1909-1911 period, and instead dates much later than that (1918-1920s). I see there is red overprinting on the tax stamp; is there a date printed there?

I was hoping to get your feedback, Jon as I’ve spent a couple hours reading your website - thank you for putting it together. The red is very difficult to make out. Here is a close up picture of it. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by Madi$on18joshua; 11-22-2018 at 09:45 AM. |

Looks to me like 1925 printed in red. Just a guess.

Yeah, I was thinking 1922 in red there. But it's definitely 20s.

The overprinting on this tax stamp would be post 1920's. More info here on tax stamps:

Given that this pack is a '20's example, what's the value of a T206 era pack? Thanks.
Also as a former smoker, cigarettes last about six month before they start to go stale. The these 100 year old cigarettes would be saw-dust. |

I will admit to taking a puff on a 1920's smoke - not so good :-) I have some from 1879 - any interest?
BTW - Just FYI - I believe those packs you have were issued during the period of their "Ask Dad" campaign...….. Last edited by 1880nonsports; 11-24-2018 at 08:23 PM. |
