Default Beautiful 1955 Topps Clemente and Koufax RC's Graded PSA5

I have for sale these 2 rcs. They were both graded a 5 by PSA. I don't know why the graded so low. I cut them out of their original holders as I really thought the grades should have been higher. The Clemente is perfectly centered, has perfect corners and edges. The only issue with the card would be the ink smudge on the front as pictured. I dont' think the card should have been dropped to a 5. In any event, I am selling the Clemente for $2100, the Koufax for $600. Please let me know if you are interested. Payable with Paypal. Thank you.

Dave

Do you have a picture or scan of the cards in the PSA holders?

Well, good news, at least for me. These cards both came back PSA graded 6. They are due to arrive tomorrow. The price will go up significantly. I will post pictured slabbed then they arrive. Thanks to all for looking.

I guess the card must have repaired itself over the course of time. It amazes me how much stock people put into the decisions made by these inconsistent clowns at PSA and SGC. Maybe that million dollar mantle gets a 7.5 if regraded. Beautiful card (whether a 5 or a 6), and congratulations.

Anyone who buys with any consideration of resale value (and I think that's most of us) really has no choice but to consider the flip these days, whether or not he cares about the grading company's opinion about the condition of the card, in my opinion.

I think if the extent to which the same cards have received different grades over time were fully known, some people would be blown away.

It is your board right to say what you want, per the rules, but please put your full name per the bold lettered statement, concerning opinions, near the top of every page. thanks...nothing personal either...

I heard from a friend the other day that sent in a 1951 Bowman Mays, graded BVG 6.5. PSA gave it an 8. Imagine that. That does amazing things for the value of that card. I guess its time to buy all nice looking lower graded cards and resubmit them all. Anybody have luck chasing this stuff?

If only it were that easy. It's not. Far from it.

Not calling you or your friend a liar, but I'd like to see scans of the card in both holders.

If I worked there I would given it an 8.

It has very nice side to side centering (looking horizontally). But the top to bottom centering is quite off.
