100) JIM BOTTOMLEY Cut signature from a personal check attached to a 3x5 index card. Played for the 1922-32 Cardinals, 1933-35 Reds , 1936-37 Browns , He was "Most Valuable Player" in 1928. Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974 almost two decades after his death in 1959. $450.00

101) KI KI CUYLER autograph album page signed in fountain pen by Cuyler and 4 other members of the 1937 Reds. Including Gene Schott, Paul Derringer, Les Scarsella, Gus Brittain. Page measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and has a PSA sticker on reverse. Cuyler played for the 1921-38 Pirates, Reds, Cubs, & Dodgers he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1968 almost two decades after his death in 1950. $450.00

102) CLARK GRIFFITH Government postcard postmarked on the reverse June 27th 1952. Comes with an unsigned 8x10 photo of Griffith as a player , perfect for display. Compiled and impressive 237-146 record as a pitcher and manager 1891-1914. Led the league in ERA in 1898. Was the FIRST New York Highlanders/Yankees team Captain. Later owner of the Washington Senators 1920-55. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1946 and died in 1955. $450.00

103) KENESAW MOUNTAIN LANDIS Portion of an autograph album page signed in pencil. Measures aprox 3 x 4 1/2 perfect for display. Baseballs first commissioner serving in that capacity from 1920-44. Best remembered for his banishment of the eight White Sox players suspected of fixing the 1919 World Series. He died in 1944 and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame by special committee 2 weeks after his death. $350.00

104) GOOSE GOSLIN Vintage card measure 2 1/4 x 3 1/2 appears to be trimmed from a 3x5. Bold Fountain pen signature circa 1940. Goslin won the batting title in 1928. He had a steller major league career that spanned 1921-1938. Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1968 he died in 1971. $175.00

105) PIE TRAYNOR 3x5 index card signed on the lined side , Generally regarded as one of the greatest 3rd baseman of all time his career spanned 1920-39 as player and manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1948 and died in 1972. $250.00

106) EARLE COMBS 3x5 index card with perfect bold ball point signature on the unlined side. Comes with original unsigned crystal clear "Brace" 8x10 photo of Combs pictured in Yankees uniform for display. Played his entire career 1924-35 in Centerfield for the Yankees most of that time next to Babe Ruth. Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1970 he died in 1976. $150.00

107) BRANCH RICKEY & GEORGE WEISS 4X5 magazine photo signed by both. Comes with a LOA from PSA. Photo is dark and signature can be seen but do not contrast well. Comes with an unsigned 8x10 photo of Branch Rickey as a player for display. Priced accordingly , if you are looking for an inexpensive Branch Rickey this one is for you if you need to see a scan its not the one for your collection. $100.00

108) CHARLIE HEMPHILL Vintage 3x4 card signed in fountain pen comes with an unsigned 8x10 photo in Yankees uniform for display. EXTREMELY rare ! played in the major leagues from 1899-1911 and for the Yankees 1908-1911. In 1901 he became the first opening day rightfielder in history for the Red Sox. He died in 1953. $750.00

109) HERB McQUAID cut signature from a document signed in fountain pen. Measures aprox 2x3. Someone has written lightly in pencil well below the signature "Saints 1927" Comes with an unsigned 8x10 photo pictured in Yankees uniform. Far more RARE than his date of death would indicate played for the 1923 Reds and 1926 Yankees Died-1966 $650.00

110) ANDY COAKLEY Trimmed lined portion of a 3x5 on which he has signed and also written the teams he played for measures 2x5 attached to a 3x5 card and comes with a unsigned 8x10 photo of Coakley for display. A pitcher for the 1902-06 Athletics, 1907-08 Reds, 1908-09 Cubs and the 1911 Yankees. He was one of Lou Gehrig's first coaches before the Iron Horse came to the major leagues. Coakley died in 1963. $450.00

111) THOMAS SHIBE portion of a legal document measures aprox 4 1/2 x 3. Also signed by three other members of the board of directors for the "Reach Sporting Goods Company" the son of Benjamin Shibe , co-founder of the Philadelphia Athletics baseball team. He was also instrumental in helping to create the American League and helping Major League baseball divide the game into two leagues (AL and NL). He invented much of the machinery used to produce baseballs for the big leagues and his personal supervision of the AJ Reach plant. His family name adorned the Major League ballpark that the Athletics and Phillies played in for many years (1909-70) in Philadelphia, Shibe Park. His importance in Major League baseball can not be underestimated. He died in 1936. $150.00

112) AL MAMAUX 3x5 index card comes with an unsigned 8x10 photo for display. Played for the 1913-1917 Pirates, 1918-23 Brooklyn & 1924 Yankees. He died in 1963. $150.00

113) ERNIE JOHNSON SR. Vintage 4x6 autograph album page signed boldly in fountain pen Played for the 1912-23 White Sox and St Louis and 1923-1925 Yankees. While playing for the White Sox he took over the shortstop position after Swede Risberg was banned from baseball for life. He died in 1952. $350.00

114) BOARDWALK BROWN 3x5 index card comes with an unsigned 8x10 photo for display. Played for the 1911-14 Athletics and 1914-15 Yankees he died in 1977. $100.00

115) GEORGE HALAS 3x5 index card comes with an unsigned 8x10 photo in Yankees uniform for display. Although he played briefly for the Yankees in 1919 he is best remembered as one of the founding fathers of the NFL and is a member of the Football Hall of Fame he died in 1983. $150.00

116) PEE WEE WANNINGER 3x5 index card comes with an unsigned photo pictured in Yankees uniform for display. Played for the 1925 Yankees and 1927 Red Sox & Reds. Holds the unique distinction of ending one consecutive game record and starting another. In 1925 he replaced Everett Scott at shortstop ended his then record 1,307 consecutive game playing streak he inadvertantly began Lou Gehrig's 2,130 game streak when Gehrig pinch hit for him. Died-1981 $75.00

117) GENE ROBERTSON Vintage autograph album page signed boldly in fountain pen. Comes with an unsigned 8x10 photo for display. Played for the 1919, 1922-26 Browns, 1928-29 Yankees, 1929-30 Braves he died in 1981. $150.00

118) YATS WUESTLING 3x5 index card comes with an unsigned 8x10 photo for display. Played for the 1929-30 Tigers and 1930 Yankees. He died in 1970. $75.00

119) BOB MEUSEL 3x5 index card comes with an unsigned 8x10 photo in Yankees uniform for display. Best remembered as a member of the 1927 Yankees. Died-1977. $75.00

120) RED ROLFE Vintage 3x5 signed in fountain pen , comes with a beauty of an unsigned original 8x10 Brace photo (probably from a Burke Negative) of Rolfe in Yankees uniform. Perfect for display. Played for the 1931, 1934-42 Yankees he died in 1969 $75.00

121) SPENCER ADAMS 3x5 index card comes with an unsigned 8x10 photo in Yankees uniform for display. Adams played for the 1923 Pirates, 1925 Washington , 1926 Yankees and 1927 Browns he died in 1970. $50.00

122) LEO DUROCHER Vintage 3x5 index card signed in ball point , comes with an unsigned 8x10 photo in Yankees uniform for display. Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame for his contributions both as a player and manager he died in 1991. $50.00

123) CHESTER HOFF 3X5 index card comes with an unsigned 8x10 photo in Yankees uniform for display. Holds the unique distinction of once having been the oldest living baseball player. Pitcher for the 1911-1913 Yankees, 1915 Browns he died in 1998. $50.00

124) SAM VICK 3x5 index card signed on the lined side comes with an unsigned 8x10 photo for display. Vick played for the 1917-20 Yankees and 1921 Red Sox he died in 1986. $50.00

125) BOBBY THOMSON UNIQUE "SHOT HEARD ROUND THE WORLD COMBO" Two outstanding signed items , One is a signed sepia 8x10 of Thomson hitting his famous home run that shows the trajectory of the ball into the left field stands he has signed the photo and also written in his own hand "The Shot heard round the World Oct 3 1951" the second item is a single signed official National League baseball signed in ball point by Thomson on the sweet spot. Still in its original box. Take both for $75.00

VINTAGE AUTOGRAPHS ALL FIELDS

126) EZZARD CHARLES Vintage 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 photo postcard full length in boxing pose signed beautifully on the light portion in fountain pen. Minor glue residue on reverse from where photo was once attached to a page from a scrapbook. Charles never won the light heavyweight title but in 2009 Ring rated him the greatest Lt Heavyweight in boxing history (Over Archie Moore and Gene Tunney) ESPN ranked him the 27th greatest boxer in history. Best remembered as Heavyweight Champion of the World in 1949-1951. And is a member of the Boxing Hall of Fame. His autograph is far tougher to find than one would think as he suffered from ALS the last years of his life making it impossible to sign his name. He was only 53 years old when he died in 1975. $450.00

127) SUGAR RAY ROBINSON 3x5 index card signed in ball point. Welterweight & Middleweight champion of the World generally regarded as the "Pound for Pound" greatest boxer of all time. Much of the material during his boxing career was "ghost" signed and later in life proxy signed due to ill health. This one is the REAL DEAL just like Robinson was. Member of the Boxing Hall of Fame he died in 1989. $225.00

128) LOU COSTELLO significant autographed "Boxing Glove Style" employee pass from the Patterson NJ Armory dated Nov 15th, 1950. Measures aprox 4 1/2 x 3. Also comes with an employee ticket from the event. Unique in that the famous half of the "Abbott & Costello" comedy team hailed from Patterson NJ and had as a young man boxed under the name Lu King. Great association item signed by half of the "Who's on First" iconic team. Costello died only nine years later in 1959. $350.00

129) PAUL HORNUNG UNIQUE SIGNED PERSONAL CHECK WRITTEN TO "THE UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME" FOR TICKETS TO THE NEBRASKA GAME Made out entirely in his own hand and dated 4/13/2000, Measures aprox 3x8 and is made out in the amount of $365.00. What is amazing about this check is that Hornung had to PAY his own college for which he won the Heisman trophy award in 1956 Notre Dame for tickets ! Drafted #1 by the Green Bay Packers who he played for 1957-62 & 1964-66 he is a member of both the College and Pro Football Hall of Fame. A truly unique conversation piece and fabulous autographed item for any Notre Dame or Green Bay Packers fan. $250.00

130) BOB DENVER Signed endorsed portion of a personal check. Dated June 5th 1992. TV star best remembered as "Gilligan" on the long running hit TV classic "Gilligan's Island" the check is made out to Denver for $5.00 and endorsed on the reverse. He died in 2005. $75.00

131) DESI ARNAZ complete personal check dated Jan 16th 1952. Measures aprox 3x8. The man who would change Television forever dated ONLY THREE MONTHS AFTER THE FIRST EPISODE OF I LOVE LUCY ! He died in 1986. $225.00

132) GEORGE BURNS COMPLETE PERSONAL CHECK Unique in that the check is written to PEARL ALLEN and endorsed by her on the reverse. The check is dated November 11th 1948 and is made out for $15.00 for "Allowance" Both George and Gracie Allen's names are imprinted on this early check which measures 3x8. Gracie Allen began her show business career in vaudeville with her sisters one of whom was named "Pearl" which is where she met and married George Burns. The comedy team of "Burns & Allen" became icons on radio and later television. After the death of Gracie Burns never remarried and left instructions for flowers to be delivered to her grave daily and personally vsited the site on a weekly basis he died in 1996. $100.00

133) JIMMY CARTER full page typewritten letter dated April 17th, 1976. Signed with the less familar version of his signature "JImmy Carter". Letter measures 7 x 10 1/2 and is written on Jimmy Carter Presidential Campaign letterhead. He writes to Ralph Benson "I appreciate your kind words about my campaign. It continues to go well and your friendship and support are valuable to me , I will do my best to deserve your confidence, Sincerely JIMMY CARTER" Written on the eve of becoming the 39th President of the United States. in 2002 he began the only US President to be awarded the Nobel Peace prize after leaving office. Fine early letter in pristine condition. $150.00

134) GERALD FORD FINE LEATHER BOUND EASTON PRESS COLLECTORS SIGNED EDITION "A TIME TO HEAL" Attractive as new condition magnificent autobiography from "The Library of the Presidents series" produced by Easton press. Must see to appreciate. In addition to serving on the Warren commission Ford was 38th President of the United States he died in 2006. $150.00
