I'm eying this '52 Cookie Lavagetto which is going under the hammer over at Heritage Auctions.
http://sports.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=7075&lotNo=82228 It's a beautiful card, excellent centering on the front side, with sharp corners, color, eye appeal...but I'm concerned about the reverse. It is is as about as off center as you can get short of being cut off. I don't think SGC notes qualifiers like MC or OC (and I wonder if the off center reverse is why this card got a 6.5...it looks much better). When I buy SGC, it's with the intent to cross to PSA for my registry set. And I'm concerned it WILL get an OC or possibly even an MC rating from PSA, thereby negatively impacting it's value. So I'm thinking twice about buying. What are your thoughts? Do you place as much weight on the centering of the reverse side as you would on the front? Best, BR |
