Thanks Robert. I appreciate the kind words. These articles didn't get a lot of responses but I feel they are an important part of the hobby. They will be in our Archive section in the next few days for all to see and read for future reference. best regards

Default Jefferson Burdick in Hobbies, July, 1937

This thread is permanently located in our archive section. That being said I am very happy to be able to update it with another article from Jefferson Burdick, in Hobbies Magazine, July 1937. As far as I know there is only one article not listed here that he wrote for Hobbies. The search continues......but for now please enjoy ...

"Where else, I wonder, can these stars of the past be brought to life so vividly as on these cards?"
Ain't it the truth?

Default Hobbies Magazine - June '38 - J.R. Burdick - In Old Time Cigarette Cards

The last of the articles put out by JR Burdick, for Hobbies Magazine, was in June 1938. It had to do with cigarette card collecting and collecting in general. It also pictures some nice N172s (which weren't classified as N172s at this time). He goes onto mention "cards are a sideline for most collectors". He never met some guys on this board.

Leon's birthday, but instead he gifts us! Thanks, Leon, very interesting reads.

Incidentally, goldenager's antiquity seems to be confirmed at the lower right corner of post #10...
