I've always wondered why there is no 1977 Topps Dick Allen.

That's a good one. I think there is a 1977 Topps proof card of Jerry Grote but Topps pulled it before production because Grote had said that he was going to retire before the 1977 season but later changed his mind.

The top 4 cards were made by Topps in 2011 as a part of their Lost Cards insert set. The '41 Goudey Musial and '69 Topps Simmons were custom made for me by a guy on the Coll. Universe board who also had made the '53 and '64 Topps earlier.

The gentlemen from the Coll. Universe board (id: heritageaddict) also made the '52 Topps Musial card with the "cut auto" from my 3x5.

Default More Cool Cards

These I printed off of a website of a guy who made some masterful looking "what if" cards. I wish I culd remember the site, there were a number of great looking cards there.

That's as cool as the other side of the pillow! Do you have any copies of that card actually made up and possibly for sale, and do you make requests?

I do not have any already made up but it can be done, however it does not have any back design. I also do requests if I have a photo or if you can provide a photo. Private Message me a list of players, the teams and years and I'll see what I can do and let you know a price.

Funny how the internet works... those are designs that I have done over the years. Three of those were offset printed and handed out as promos at card shows so who knows how they got around. The '54 Mantle was just a prototype I posted on CU a long time ago that I've since improved.

I have a library of dozens of these that I've done. Got to start me a blog like Bob Lemke (the master of ersatz cards) has done.

Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool. I've always wanted a '69 Horton for use with my Strat O Matic computer sim replay. Gonna copy and paste into my player file when I get home tonight. Thanks! P.S. Can you do a '69 Donn Clendenon in a Mets uniform?

This wasn't directed to me, but I thought it would be fun to do since I had never done a "what if" card before. Here is my quick version.

The photo is from a google image search and is a LIFE copyrighted picture.

Oh great. Now you will print a corrected version with "Donn" and we variation collectors will have to look for both versions .

Oops. haha. Yeah I need to fix that. Even in the fake card world we need Error cards. This may remain an UER... at least until I get back to my design computer during the work week again.

Default There is a 1973 Topps Staub

Cliff - Check out Tommie Agee's 1973 Topps card #420. Agee was traded after the picture. Everyone is airbrushed out of their Mets uniform. Picture was taken at Shea. Hey. Who is that guy to the right hustling in to back up the play? Yup.It Rusty.

I found these on a site that has fantasy 1977 Topps cards for players that changed teams or didn't have a card at all in the set.

Default My custom cards

Hi Guys,
Sorry for the late post to this thread, but I'm new to this forum (and enjoying it very much).
I have been having fun by making custom cards like this for years and even had the honor of having a hobby legend like My. Lemke write about me in the January 2011 SCD.
Anyways, here's a few examples with a link to my full on-line library of digital baseball card art:

My online album:
https://picasaweb.google.com/1137614...ardArtGallery#

Mr. Lemke's article about me:
http://www.sportscollectorsdigest.co...er-seen-before

Mr. Lemke, if you read this - I love your 3 stooges All American card and it was the inspiration for my Abbott and Costello card!

Default Home made cards

RF-- I really like your creations, especially the Musials. Do you have copies for sale ? I have purchased several from Bob. My personal favorite is his 52 card with Hope & Crosby. Have not seen Bob post in awhile

TJ, I never get tired of looking at your creations. In many cases we're thinking along the same lines in terms of player/host card.

I don't post my new custom cards here very often, but each new one gets published on my blog as it is completed.
