Max, there was a Northwest International League in 1919, but Spokane wasn't in it. Doesn't matter anyway...I heard back from the authority as well and it's a city industrial league pin.

Great pick up Randall! I am going to the Central Washington University library today, I'll see if I can find a related article in the Spokesman Review circa Sep-Oct 1919, or at least who the league champions were. The Spokesman Review had a GREAT sports page for the day, very comprehensive.

I finally found some info on the 1919 Spokane City League from the Spokesman... The winner of the league pennant that year was United Clothes, they were 19-3 on September 1, and declared league champs September 5th. Could not find any articles directly indicating awards to players but their lineup on Sep 1, was;
Griffin,ss Barton, 2b Poff, rf Magee, 1b Kelsey, 3b McCutcheon, lf Malone, cf Daniels, c Leeper, p Here's a copy of Sep. 1, 1919 paper article is on page 5. Hope this helps. Once again, great find! http://news.google.com/newspapers?ni...rontpage&hl=en
