This year I continued the hunt for the Monster. I have close to 200 cards so far. I picked up a lot of HOFers and got good deals on graded commons at a number of shows. My set is lower grade, so the cost was rather reasonable.
I did acquire a number of "iconic" cards that I have wanted for some time: three Goudey Gehrigs, a Wagner (not T206!) two non-T-206 Planks, a '53 Mantle (just love the look of that card), and a few other random HOFers in different sets. This year I will continue to focus on hunting the Monster and working on a 1934 Goudey set, which I am about 16 cards in.
