I knew GAI prices fell off, but getting a GAI 7 Jackie '50 bowman for under $400 is pretty crazy.

Hey Pete. Those Ruth's are syck! Sorry. I just couldn't pass that up.

But really... congrats on all of your pick-ups. Top-notch cards for sure. Regards, Jimmy

Growing up my nickname was sycko and everyone who said it thought they were the one who invented it. Well played.

I know what you mean. After Newhart, everyone was constantly asking me where my other brother was.

For what it's worth, from my research (and I've done quite a bit on this topic), there are only 2 T214 Cobbs known to exist. There is the one that was sold in H&S and subsequently in REA and a second example that has been known to the hobby for quite some time.

There was rumor of a third, but the story was so far fetched that I tend to discount it.

Picked up this one, as you don't see many around.

Thats a great price!! Even better considering that the same card in the same grade sold the same night on Ebay for over $700!!

Since Goodwin's didn't have any cards from sets I am trying to complete, I just bought a couple which looked nice and were at a great price.

Default Byrne T215

I got this one .. not collecting, but thought it was a good buy and nice card for the grade. Decent upside potential given scarcity?

I was watching about a dozen pre-war cards in this auction. Didn't even stay tuned for the overtime...most were overpriced before closing time IMO. Some of the exact items had sold in the last couple years for substatially less elsewhere.

Just looked at the final prices on these lots - all way more than I would pay.

On the other hand, I've gotten some nice deals on pre-war cards on eBay the last few days...one for 60% less than the exact card auctioned for at H&S this summer...

Cheers,
Blair
