Finally after 20+ years collecting, I made the biggest
trade yet and picked up a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle.

Congratulations!!! It took me 10 years to get my first 1952 Topps Mantle and it's a great feeling for sure. Great card!

I was going to say, a 52 Topps Mantle pickup is probably deserving of its own thread!

I imagine it's like the postwar card collector's equivalent to owning a T206 Honus Wagner. You can upgrade it, you can downgrade it, but you can't really top it. Kinda like being stuck in quicksand. You can go up and down, but you are still stuck in the same place.
