Okay, I'll play. I've shown this before, but here is my magenta-less T206 Wallace card. Guess I will call it no "STL on shirt" variation.

hello guys!!
![]() you know i was going to say something....great cards btw ![]() ![]() color background variations are really cool(market price 50-100 bucks, they are scarce, but pretty "common errors" the beaumont is what i consider the "LIGHT B VERSION"...... or a "pink" or a "hint" of magenta.....my theory, some others also,....simple logic- magenta was running low, varying degrees of missing magenta....think of a pen that's slowly running out of ink, maybe a red pen for example.... many Boston players have a bizzaro missing magenta counterpart,(there are also many cinn players with this same phenom... SWEENEY IS THE MOST RECOGNIZED AS THE BOSTON PLAYERS, HAS THE MOST FAME!! wether they survived is the true quetion.....many have different backs, suggesting backs printed last....there are starr, ferguson, sweeney, speaker, bell, ritchety, niles(one on ebay from dan mckee right now slabbed as missing etc etc etc with all versions of missing magentas completely or almost completely) which i have seen either slabbed or not(hence the "pink" version as almost completely in this example where the b or magenta portion is very very light)...ALL BOSTON PLAYERS HAVE A MISSING MAGENTA COUNTERPART, JUST HAVE TO FIND IT ![]() the pink version market price-50 to 75 dollars BTW, SGC DOESNT NOT RECOGNIZE THE "PINK VERSIONS" ![]() the "missing" magenta's slabbed as such (preferrably sgc)= $1000 moral- if it isn't almost completly gone, it's the "pink" version....only the graders can make the call on them!!! i have 2 claude ritchey totallly missing magenta that will be on the way to sgc to make judgement!!i also have a few lights, like i said about ten, that just won't make it through...i will try to post scans of them if i can.... omg, i hope this sounds somewhat clear ![]() peace v |

I am a printer and like these cards I run the CMYK color 90% of the time. When running long runs you typically have to refill the ink wells every two hours or so and the printer of those cards was just a bad one who was probably in the rest room or having a cigar and forgot to fill up the M well, it might have cost him his job.

Some of the variations look better than the standard cards.
A few red ink variations I like: ![]() ![]()
