If you crack out the cards, then after you receive your new slabs from PSA- let the other company know about the certs that you cracked out so they can adjust thier pop reports accordingly. Otherwise, the "crack and resub" process ruins the pop report for everyone.

I'm sure it will seem like a stupid question but, here goes anyway................
how do you crack the slab without damaging the card. I've acquired some cards through the years, graded by some no-name companies and would greatly prefer them raw. How can I do this safely?

Hahaha - not a stupid question.

If there is a perfect way to do it, I am not the one who knows. Today was my first time I've ever done it.

I took a chisel or a flat head and a hammer, and worked my way around. Pieces of plastic were shooting all over the place. Once it was destroyed enough, I pryed it open...

Needless to say, I'm sure there is a better way...

On most slabs I crack I simply take a small wire cutter and crack one end of the slab. Then I work a flat head screwdriver around the seams while turning the handle in a twisting motion to pry it. They usually pop open very easy that way. With Beckett slabs you might need some TNT though.

Hahahahaha

I had goggles on, a sledge hammer, 2 different sized chisels, and pieces were flying all over the place. The BVG holders are ridiculous.
