Snapshots
Don't have many at all but did pick up a few from a fellow Board member last year of various Yankees and common folk at 1927 spring training. Yanks are Durocher, Lazzeri and Bengough.

Johnny "Double No-Hit" Vander Meer 1938 snapshot
I literally just picked up this neat 1938 vintage signed snapshot of Johnny Vander Meer tonight. Photo is dated 1938 on the back.
Snapshot dimensions are 2.5" x 3.25"

This is the 1927 Yankees team photo. It is from the same lot that David's(Kawicka) pics are from.
The gentleman I bought the group from inherited them from his father who took the pics during spring training. It matches perfectly with the official Spring training team photo that is out there except for a slightly different angle. I've never seen a team snapshot like this. Does anyone else have anything similar?  Another couple of Gehrig snaps.   There are a few pics of these two guys making faces and such. Do they look familiar to anyone. I haven't been able to identify if they are actors, comedians, or famous at all.

Those are two of the Ritz Brothers in your photos, Lordstan.
Definitely Harry on the left with the hat; I believe it's brother Al on the right.   It also seems that Barack Obama's father and Mayberry town drunk Otis Campbell are sitting behind them.... Last edited by Oldtix; 01-27-2011 at 10:32 PM.
