I believe that the author of the article gave Mr Gutierrez a chance to comment and explain his side and Mr Gutierrez chose not to explain his side. This story, of the theft, was told to me many years ago, by the person referred to in the article as the eyewitness at the Hall of Fame. Though I have been asked to reveal his identity that is something that I won't do.
