Never knew anything about that auction nor the company running it. Of course (too late now) I did a quick scan of the entire remainder of the auction, today and tomorrow and not a single relevant baseball item to be found. I guess this post would not have taken place yet if there was anything else significant remaining.......

Obviously the "24th" something .......

24th Infantry, stationed in the Philippines. Joined the army at age 15.

Can anybody guess the name of another Negro League HOF'er who was also in the militarty around the same time frame (not sure if there may be multiple answers to this question)?

Andy Cooper, I believe. Heavy Johnson also played with Charleston on the 24th Infantry squad.

Joe Rogan was with the 25th during some of the same years Charleston was with the 24th.
