The Gehrig is not "secretarial," it is a rubber stamp he used starting in 1940, when he could no longer write. It dates the photograph.
The Ruth, Cobb, Speaker, Wagner, and Lajoie are good. McGraw, Mathewson, and Ewing were long dead by 1940--and, I'm sure, long dead by the time the page was printed. Those are forgeries. Not sure about the Collins.
