Thanks for "reviving" my thread? You are right on point. This thread, if considered, could be a great gauge for buyers, sellers, and/or collectors. I will revise my price-points with the suggestions made:

Drum - $2,000 (This is about right, Chi-206's PSA 2 Kroh went for this exactly on ebay)

Uzit - $1,800 (hard to tell, so few pop up for sale...)

Hindu red - $900 (see above) Chi-206's Devore went for $7something on ebay (it was a solid "1")

Lenox black - $800 (again, too few to make generalizations)

Broad Leaf 350 - $500 (I sold a "1" for $300's and bought a "2" for $525..on point)

American Beauty 460 - $200 (the recent sales point to this being optomistic, I recently bought a PSA 3 for $160 on ebay, sold for about the same on BST...)

Carolina Brights - $350 (about right, a couple "1.5's" have gone for $275

Hindu brown - $300 (a recent ebay "2" went for $290...on point)

The AB 460 example you had for auction is probably the most common AB 460 there is and I think it was a SGC 30 not a vg example. Also the auction houses seem to get better money for some reason.

I had an SGC 40 Uzit for sale on ebay and at several shows including the National-could not get anyone to offer more than 1500. Heritage sold
SGC 30s for 2100 (portraits examples) and SGC 40s for 18 and 1900. Out of ten Uzit examples I think their average was 1850. At this time if a collector wanted an SGC 40 Uzit from me it would be at least 2300 and higher for a portrait.

A triditional auction seems to be the best way to go but the easiest way to get burned. When ebay was at its height it was all auction format. The auction houses have this going on and it seems that is where the best prices are realized.

I'd put Uzit above Drum. In my collecting years I've seen "many" more Drums than Uzits for sale, heck for a span of 2 years or so I didn't even come across a Uzit for sale.

And don't forget that Chicago was bidding on everything for a few months and now that he is gone the prices may have dropped just a little, all it takes is one person to affect the prices and now that he is gone so are all his bids.

$200 seems too high for a common AB 460 in GD condition. I think $90-$125 is more likely.

I see I am mistaken-I was thinking vg not good and maybe 200 is a bit high

I know when I was trying to win vg examples in Goodwin they were well above 200

I think we are in a huge bubble on these rare backs. I see people listing common players with Hindu, Broadleaf and American Beauty backs for more than I bought HOFers with those backs in the same grade just last year. I am glad because I collect rare-backed T206 HOFers but I scratch my head as to the reason for this recent surge.

I have a feeling that this bubble isn't going to pop. People are gobbling them up for their (perceived) scarcity. Once they get them, they hold tight (out of fear they won't be able to find again, or at least not as cheap). This "cycle" keeps spinning itself and the only way to stop it (and drive prices down) would be for a huge influx of these to the market...I don't see that happening.

I agree - I think that the the total population of the cards being relatively small in the context of the set as a whole will keep the prices from dropping. We are in a cycle (a "Cycle" cycle if you will ) of far more of these cards going into collections than coming out

Default Ab460

I agree with Mike H. AB460's in good are selling for $90-$125 range. Some poses are rarely seen and could sell for more. But that's not relevant because this thread is listing the typical price for the back types.
