c. 1912 pair of Jim Thorpe TYPE I photographs...
the one on the left was taken by the legendary George Grantham Bain and on the right, just a split second prior, Bain's contemporary Paul Thompsom captured his version of the "World's Greatest Athlete."
I found these a few years apart and am still in need of a companion piece. NOTE: Check out Thorpe's right calf  thorpebygeorgebain.jpgthorpebythompson.jpg
