Here is the back of another postcard mailed from Chicago (Nov 2, 1910) to illustrate the postmark.


It's Polar Bear by a nose. Curses, Penultimate once again.

David's pic shows the new 1c stamp issued in Dec 1908.


Another observation is that the pic was obviously taken in winter, but probably not the dead of winter. Everyone has coats, no foliage, but no snow, probably in the Oct-Nov timeframe.

If it was mailed in May of 07, the photo would be after the 1906 season and if May of 08, after the 1907 season.
