 Honestly though...your conlon image of Gehrig is the MOST "ICONIC" image of Gehrig EVER..just spectacular! Wanna trade??

It's not just Gehrig here but I think it fits the theme well because it's pretty incredible to see his face on a 1939 Hall of Fame-related collectible, considering he was inducted that year by special ballot. This great sign is going to sell this Friday (April 23) in the Heritage auction.

It just occurred to me that I ought to show my 1923 Yankees signed ball.
It contains what is certainly one of the earliest Gehrig signatures in the hobby--he was only up with the big team for a few weeks in '23. That's his signature right under Johnson's on the side panel.
