Some really great photos, thanks for posting the link to them.
The Contentnea creek region was known for its "golden leaf" tobacco....hence, Carolina Brights. In the early 1900's, the cigarettes produced in this region were labelled "North Carolina Brights". When the American Tobacco Co. (ATC) acquired this brand, ATC (circa 1908-1910) switched production to the Richmond, VA plant (Factory 25), and drop- ped the "North" lettering from this brand's name. Question for Jon Canfield, or any one....... Have you ever come across T-packs labelled "North Carolina Brights" ?
