Randall,
I emailed the person as soon as they came on and told him they were fake. The size is wrong 1 3/4 vs real 1 1/4 and the back paper is wrong. Last edited by batsballsbases; 12-08-2014 at 04:42 PM. |

He could have soaked em in tea for a few minutes. Scammers can be such slackers at times.

After much research and taking a very long look at the pictures. These pins are most definitely fake. As I stated before the size is wrong for the issue. The correct size is 1 1/4 inch. The real ones have no black edging going around the curl of the pin. And last the words The whitehead and hoag co. Newark N.J. are printed very small around the lower section of the pin on the real ones.

Well, to my friend who saw them and I, the BACKS should be the dead giveway. Hopefully the guy will state they may be reproductions, or some may read this, and retract bids.
