Default Two strikes and the bases full!

Love these post cards...

I wish I could figure out who "A. R. Smith" was, given that the scrapbook is all baseball oriented I think he may have been a player or connected to baseball in some way?

Default Ruth, Cobb, Gehrig, Speaker original paintings - Unknown artist

Haven't received these yet (hope I don't jinx the postal delivery), but wanted to post the images of these, as I feel these are well done and was hoping someone would know something about the artist or what photos the poses may have been studied from?

Painted on canvas and in need of a cleaning, I understand. Any advice on determining how to decide on a prof. restorer would be appreciated. Max, could I impose on you and Jennifer for advice? Thanks!...chris

Default ...Bonds asterisk cartoon

...reminded me of one I did a while back for Beckett but it didn't run.
Sorry for the low quality pic. Had to use my phone to take it.

Edited to add... this really isn't a shameless plug but one of my Report Card cartoons is pre-war related...

long time viewer, first time poster. feel a little silly posting some art, due to the talent/minds that are involved in the net54 community, but did want to introduce myself in the form of showing some of my pieces and thought this might be the best place to do so. really have enjoyed and appreciated the conversations that take place around these parts. thanks in advance for taking the time to check out my work. heres to future conversations.

Chris,
Great stuff. Welcome to Net54.
I went to your site to peruse your art. Wow some really nice work. What is your medium? It looks like graphite pencil or similar.

Best,
Mark

If I could do what you do I would be bragging and walking with a swagger. Those are really nice. I think I like the Maris the most if there was a gun to my head and I had to chose.

It's just a simple cheap tapestry.... but it is something that I really enjoy and look at every day. 20" wide and 7' long:
