Default my faves

I own neither but my 2 faves would be a Matty 1912-13 Boston Garter and the t210 Jackson....followed closely by a 1914 Ruth...(which I don't have either).....

Default N162 Kelly

I must be paddling in the same boat as Al, as my top card would be the N162 of Kelly. I am really into the aesthetics of the cards we collect, and for me the Kelly tops the scale. Maybe someday....

I'd say my choice is driven by the uniqueness of the pose. I've narrowed it down to three, but can't decide. So in the spirit of completely disregarding the spirit of the post, I'll list all three:

T209 Thompson B&W (Uncle Sam pose)

1913 Zeenut Leard (Let's get drunk and bunt)

Kalamazoo Bats 2 player card in which you can see the scenery support beam in the background

Don't own any of the 3. I think 2 of these are Leon's.

There are a few close runner-ups, but this one always comes out on top:

Default fav

after all these years, still the angelic Walter Johnson portrait T206.
framed, THE centerpiece in my office---as well
as a large portrait of Thomas Merton(my fav. trappist).
The latter is obviously Off Topic.

best,

barry

When I saw this card in a book in 1990 I thought it was a special card! A little over a week ago I was able to pick it up. Babe Ruth in RedSox Uniform, Walter Johnson, George Sisler, and Stan Coveleski all on a card that has this special nostalgic look to it.

Not all that exotic, but I always liked the T206 Chase w/loving cup...it's a lot like the Ruth with Bird card, but not quite so "out there." I have one. Will probably upgrade it at some point.

Default Halla & Merkle

My two favorite cards aren't anything spectacular from a price perspective, but visually to me they are fantastic.

E95 Merkle

1911 Zeenut Halla - Horizontal

Default My favorite pre-war card

My favorite pre-war card is the T-206 Ed Walsh. I used to own a PSA 7, and I sure miss it. What a beautiful card! I guess I better skip post-war, but I wish there were more post-war questions as those you people have.

Cool thread.

The card I don't own that I like the most is the T202 Cobb. I'd love to own even a beat up copy of that beauty.

This one I do own, not on par with what some of you guys own, but one I'm thrilled to have in my small collection.
