Here's another Sporting News cartoon, this of Sam Chapman. Somewhat unusual in that colour background is present in the drawing, although I'm not sure whether that is just part of the printing process and whether it shows in the printed cartoon

Thought you might like to see this oversized Teddy Ballgame painting, done by a prolific and well known New England painter named John Backstrom. He did a lot of baseball paintings in the 50s and 60s.
