Here are the pictures of the Winchester Mitt I purchased. As you can see the condition is pretty rough. Would this be a candidate for restoration or should it be left as is?

Nice score....once cleaned up that glove will be a real beauty. The guys over at the glove forum can tell you exactly how to clean and refurbish that glove.

I decided to do some work on the Winchester catchers mitt using the recommendations of some members of the vintage glove forum. I relaced the glove and used a conditioner on it called Chelsea Leather Food. Here are a couple of pictures. I was pleased with the results.
