Clyde was a great fellow. I visited him in Maine in 1994, and we exchanged a slew of correspondence for several years. He was a very self-effacing man, educated, VERY much an old-school New Englander! One of my favorites.

I actually remember him telling me a funny story involving Kirby Higbe from when Clyde managed Clinton! I'd love to see your baseballs! Send me scans if you're so inclined!
