What's happening with mid-grade T206's?

i saw a fall-off in 7's-9's over the last few months, and i got out of them...it has trickled down to mid-grade, i guess...a bit scary. BUT i see RISING prices in rarities (the demmitts, oharas, elberfelds, lundgrens, etc, etc.), and rare backs are stronger than ever, as well...collectors always seem to come back to "basics"...rarity, rarity, rarity...
