Frank WakefieldMontgomery West Virginia, for the Series 4 T210s, gentlemen.
Montgomery had a team in the Virginia Valley League in 1910. It was a Class D league. Teams were Huntington, Charleston, Point Pleasant, Ashland - Cattletsburg, Parkersburg, and Montgomery, who finished last with a 47 - 63 record. The league lasted only 1 season, 1910. John A Spinney and John C. Bond served as league presidents. Benny Kauff lead the league in batting and stolen bases for Parkersburg, hitting .336 and swiping 36 bases. Musta been difficult playing on those WV mountainsides.
