If you check out the "Dressed to the Nines" section for Gowdy (go to his page on baseball-reference.com and scroll all the way down), you'll see that Boston had a patch on the left breast from 1915-1920 (instead of a B). My guess is that on the card, he's in a Boston road uniform from that era. |
