¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I had the same experience at the Rosemont, IL show last weekend. I came ready to spend $ and left just $80 lighter. I don't know if some dealers are trying to make up for bad investments or just prey on suckers, but many prices aren't based in reality. I think these shows are becoming more grading/authentication drop-offs than anything else.

There was a dealer right next to the stage in the direct center that had a few bargain boxes $1-5 // $10-15 etc. on the opposite end of his set up. Vintage 1948-70s stuff. I’ve seen him before, real nice person and gave out 👊. I ended up getting a 1958 Unitas for $12 no creasing just OC .

Traffic on Saturday open till 2 was lighter than usual for a WP show. Line to get in was around the corner until doors opened. I did drop off a sub to sgc but Beckett and CGS both seemed hotter than sgc. I dunno what the later afternoon or Sunday did.

Not pertaining to this show in particular, but my guess is that a lot of dealers have inventory they paid up for, then some prices went down and they don't want to take a loss. I have fallen into that category before and it's not really a good one. I usually end up just biting the bullet, take the loss, and move on. You can't win on all of them!
