Default Rivadulla

Eladio Rivadulla Martínez was a prolific commercial artist in Cuba during mid 20th century. Along with his baseball portraits he worked on political adds and movie posters. I love his baseball work most. Here are some more samples. To learn more and to see his art work I recommend you visit: https://www.facebook.com/ArchivoRivadulla/

Thank you. Picked this up today as I saw a Dihigo sell a last week. Goes with my Mendez collection. Must have been in a newspaper.

In 1910, the Punch Cigar Factory donated a collection of cards featuring players from the Habana and Almendares teams, as well as from the visiting Major League teams. Two printings of cards were made; the first with the names printed in handwritten letters, and the second in block letters. The rarest is the handwritten one, as few copies were made, waiting for block printing to be organized. I am showing from my Specialized Catalog part of one of the pages of Punch Cigars, where you can see pitcher Chicho González with the card printed in handwritten letters and next to it in block letters. I am showing one of the handwritten cards from my collection. Now I ask those who see my publications, what could this card be worth? I don't know the prices since I can't watch the auctions and neither can eBay at the moment. I would appreciate it if you could inform me.

I pay attention to most auctions looking for Cuban/Negro related items and I am aware of a few Punch cards that may have been auctioned the last few years.

Pop Lloyd $125k+ Nov 2023
Pete Hill $90k+ April 2024
Ramon Carreras sold in a lot with some other cards in March 2024 $3.5k

Jamie, thank you very much for the information on the Punch cards. As I explained before, I am unable to view Cuban card auctions and sales sites from Cuba. Any information is important for me to keep up to date. I don't know if someone will see them when I post on the thread, or if they don't like what I write. At least I know that you saw my post and helped me with what I asked for. If you can, continue with other cards. When I asked for information on that card, it's because they want to buy it and I don't know how much to ask for. I don't know what to decide on the offers they've given me. Thanks again, Jamie.
