MR. Hackman had a memorable role in the Birdcage comedy as Senator Keeley.
In drag he looked just like Maude (Bea Arthur). RIP to a fine actor (and his wife and dog).

I like his characters though I have only seen three of his movies more than once - "Runaway Jury", "Enemy of the State" and "The Firm".
The others I enjoyed but only saw once were - "No Way Out", "Hoosiers", "The Poseiden Adventure", "Young Frankenstein" and "The Conversation".
