A fantastic player. I'm not sure he's super-underrated though.
MLB has him at #5 in their top 100 list: https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-network...ayers-for-2025 I think it is fair to put him behind Ohtani, Judge, Witt and Soto.

I'm still pissed the Red Sox let him get away. He was a phenomenal player, great in the locker room and loved by the fans. All that and the Red Sox ownership still went cheap. My blood pressure's going up just thinking about this.
