Nice info Tony for us run of the (not Old) mill T206 collectors. You inspired me to take this even a bit further...below are the breakdowns for each Piedmont back type, including the 350/460 factory 25 and 350/460 factory 42 backs, just to let collectors interested in a master Piedmont T206 set know how many Piedmont backs they would have to track down to be masterfully complete.
39 Piedmont 150 HOFers 117 Piedmont 150 Commons 65 Piedmont 350 HOFers 395 Piedmont 350 Commons, Minor Leaguers, Southern Leaguers 26 Piedmont 350/460 Factory 25 HOFers 83 Piedmont 350/460 Factory 25 Commons 21 Piedmont 350/460 Factory 42 HOFers 55 Piedmont 350/460 Factory 42 Commons which adds up to: 151 HOF cards 650 Commons, Minor Leaguers, Southern Leaguers for a grand total Master Piedmont set of 801 cards Brian |

This is fascinating, great work! If I'm understanding your methodology correctly, does this mean that there are 7 HOFer cards that have a Piedmont 350/460 but NOT a 150 or 350? I'm curious who the 7 cards are?

Thanks Brian and Frank!
Most of my T206s are Piedmonts so I thought it would be fun to break down all 522 subjects. Here are the seven: #77 Chance, Frank (HOF) Batting #152 Duffy, Hugh (HOF) #303 Marquard, Rube (HOF) Follow Through #320 McGraw, John (HOF) Glove At Hip #322 McGraw, John (HOF) Portrait With Cap #485 Tinker, Joe (HOF) Bat On Shoulder #502 Wheat, Zach (HOF)

Thanks Tony for letting me have more fun with T206 Piedmonts. Here are the HOF cards that are exclusively found with just one type of back (150 Series, 350 Series, 350/460 Series Factory 25, or the 350/460 Series Factory 42). I am once again splitting up the 350/460 Series card into the two different factories, because factories are people too.
Piedmont HOF cards that are found exclusively with the Piedmont 150 Series back: 150 Series - 4 cards Brown (Cubs on uniform) Evers (Cubs on uniform) Plank Wagner Piedmont HOF cards that are found exclusively with the Piedmont 350 Series back: 350 Series - 11 cards Beckley Bender (pitching w/trees) Bresnahan (w/bat) E. Collins J. Collins Huggins (portrait) Huggins (hands at mouth) Kelley Marquard (portrait) McGinnity Speaker Piedmont HOF cards that are found exclusively with the Piedmont 350/460 Series Factory 25 back: 350/460 Series Factory 25 - 5 cards Duffy McGraw (glove at hip) McGraw (portrait w/cap) Tinker (bat on shoulder) Wheat Piedmont HOF cards that are found exclusively with the Piedmont 350/460 Series Factory 42 back: 350/460 Series Factory 42 - 0 cards Brian |

![]() Nice example Bob of what a Piedmont 350/460 Factory 42 back card is all about. The list in post # 5 consists of all the HOF player cards that were printed with one Piedmont back. Below are the HOF player cards that were printed with three different Piedmont backs (all happen to be P350, P350/460 f25 and P350/460 f42). All others not listed below or in post 5 were printed with two different Piedmont backs. Piedmont HOF subjects printed with 3 different backs (19 cards): Baker Bender (pitching - no trees) Brown (Chicago on uniform) Chance (portrait - yellow) Cobb (bat off shoulder) Cobb (portrait - red) Crawford (with bat) Evers (Chicago on uniform) Griffith (batting) Jennings (one hand shows) Jennings (two hands show) Johnson (pitching) Joss (pitching) Lajoie (with bat) Mathewson (dark cap) Tinker (bat off shoulder) Willis (with bat) Willis (throwing) Young (glove shows) Brian |
