Horner was a really good player when he was actually able to stay on the field.
Never really was able to put a full season in, and was pretty much done in MLB by 28. Destroyed Japanese pitching in his one season over there, but wasn't able to quite put in a full season there either I remember in the early 80's his Rookie card was more popular then Ozzie's for a bit (I wanna say Pedro Guerrero was in that mix to). He'd had 5 pretty productive seasons by the time he was 25, even if he was obviously injury prone already.
