Those are great. It looks like the football set was a little more star-driven.

I have never been much of a pin guy. But a Long time ago I purchased a large cardboard sheet, blue writing against an orange maybe salmon color. And it was covered un these little team pins. I sold them as sets until finally someone came along and asked to buy the whole sheet. But I did stash away these. Not a complete set as I remember a red sox and a Dodger pin.

Interesting. Crane used a blue and orange/salmon color scheme.

Based on the expansion era teams and saying on the coupon "1968 buttons accepted" I'm going to say most certainly 1969.

But it might also say "1969 buttons accepted" making it 1970. I can't tell for certain, too blurry.

Edit: It's Definitely 1969 not 1970, I see it says so on the mailing address.

Here is a Tarkenton black box button that I own. I own a few of the others shown like Namath and Unitas but this is the only Tarkenton I have ever seen.

That is the one NFL black box pin that I looked for specifically on WorthPoint and eBay and was amazed I couldn’t find, mainly because he was a Giant in the late 60’s-early 70’s. I couldn’t find a Gale Sayers either but he blew out his knee before these came out.
